Ensure you hold at least a Junior Speed Licence $35 or Adult Speed Licence $165. If you don’t have one, you can apply for it through Motorsport Australia.

Step 2: Register Online

The entry fee for Khanacross held by the LCCC are $50 for adults and $25 for those under 21. Payment can be made online via the portal or by other methods specified in the event details.

Make sure your car is in good condition and complies with the technical regulations. This includes having a fire extinguisher, seatbelts, and other safety equipment. To get started the Light Car Club of Canberra has vehicles for people to hire for $10. Hiring a vehicle can only be done once for adults, and costs increase if juniors hire consistently. There are many people within the club who can provide guidance on how to use your daily-driven car or how to purchase a cheap car for event purposes

  • Safety: The car must be mechanically sound and safe for use. It must have a fire extinguisher, and the driver must wear a helmet that meets Motorsport Australia standards.

  • Fuel Tank and Battery: The fuel tank and battery must be safely and securely installed.

  • Brake, Fuel, and Electrical Lines: All brake, fuel, and electrical lines must be securely mounted.
