Canberra motorsport has sped up with the first round of the LCCC Khanacross series kicked off with exhilarating competition and impressive performances from drivers, setting the stage for what promises to be a thrilling season.
The atmosphere was electric as both seasoned veterans and enthusiastic newcomers gathered to showcase their skills on the challenging course. Veteran competitor Ryan Freeman clinched the victory by a narrow margin of just 1.7 seconds over the determined Steve Smith . His precise handling of a Subaru Liberty allowed him to maintain a slight edge, which ultimately secured his place at the top of the leaderboard. Finishing in third was regular Nathan Senior, who rounded out the podium with son Tom also performing strongly over the day.
First Timer Award
Among the standout performances, Natalie Johnston made a remarkable debut, overcoming a challenging start that tested her resilience and adaptability. Despite initial nerves and the pressure of competing in her first Khanacross event, she not only took home the coveted first timer award but also excelled in her runs, securing impressive 3rd and 4th positions in the various tests. Her ability to learn quickly and adapt to the course conditions was a highlight of the day.
Junior and Rookie Categories
